Welcome to the GBR Museum

The GBR Museum is a testament to many significant and monumental events in Philippine and world history.

Located inside Gateway Business Park in Brgy. Javalera, Gen. Trias, Cavite, the museum exhibits the Philippines' rich history of culture and the arts. It contains more than 3,000 vintage photographs as well as hundreds of model airplanes donated by founder Mr. Geronimo Berenguer de los Reyes Jr. (GBR) from hist personal collection.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal once said that “ to foretell the destiny of a nation, it is necessary to open the book that tells of her past.” This museum does just that. It celebrates the glorious past of different places at different times, and tells stories of hundreds of events worth revisiting and remembering.

At the entrance of the museum is a memorial and a detailed account of the Cavite Mutiny of 1872, which was supported by Crisanto de los Reyes, GBR's Ancestor.

The bloody uprising took more than a hundred lives of Filipino patriots who risked their lives for their country. Engraved in granite, this historical monument remembers and honors the brave countrymen who were arrested, falsely charged, indefensively punished, sentenced, and killed. Three of them—priests Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora—were executed by garrote.

There are 154 names engraved on the stone outside the museum. The names of these men are testaments to the bravery and heroism of true Filipinos. One of these patriots is Crisanto Mendoza de los Reyes, the great grandfather of museum chairman and founder, Geronimo Berenguer de los Reyes Jr. He is also joined by friends Maximo P. Inocencio and Enrique S. Paraiso on the list.

All these Filipinos showed a kind of courage that deserves recognition and tribute. The granite etched with their names is a simple reminder of how it is to believe in a country worthy of freedom.
